Adam LloWalt Porter age 59 of Middleville, MI went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 12, 2020. Adam was born in Flint, MI on August 17, 1960 the son of Kenneth and Velma (Geim) Porter. He graduated from Carmen Ainsworth High School in 1978 where he was an active saxophone player in the marching band. He enjoyed summer vacations in Boyne City, MI with his family each summer. Adam was introduced by friends and married Susan (Anderson) Porter from White Bear Lake, MN while Sue was on break from a counselor at a Girl Scout Camp in Lapeer, Michigan. He had two daughters whom he taught a love for Christ, caring for others, strong work ethic and building creative projects drawn out on paper napkins. He enjoyed grilling, gardening, eBay, skeet shooting and talking about current projects with his son in laws. He loved visiting friends and family over a hot cup of strong coffee (only whole bean/non flavored) and would go so far to hike the coffee fields of Honduras for a fresh cup. Adam was a machine builder by trade and most notably built robust automobile assembly lines during his 35-year career, retiring from Hill Machinery in 2015. His creative passion for building was a gift he shared with others by helping many with various projects for family and friends. He was most recently building an ATV with his grandsons and built Sue her dream craft studio he lovingly nicknamed “Susie’s Crap Shack”. Noah “Squirrely Joe & Chief Squatting Skunk” happily remembers building models with Grandpa and Caleb enjoyed teaching him to lose at Monopoly. Ashland and Autumn “Grandpa’s little dollies” loved swinging, reading books and sharing snacks with Grandpa. He was an active member of the Church of Christ, and was an elder and missionary in the church for 30 years. His love for Christ and spreading of the gospel took him to the four corners of the earth; including Nigeria, India, Mexico, Honduras, Canada and all over the United States. He is preceded in death by parents Kenneth and Velma (Geim) Porter. He is survived by wife, Susan Porter; daughters: Heidi (Tony) and Emily (Jordan); grandchildren: Caleb (14), Noah (8), Ashland (3), Autumn (2); siblings: Dawn, Dan and Mark (Kay) Porter; and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and friends.
